Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed III still has another seven months before it hits stores this October ... but that doesn't stop gamers from already purchasing their copies. Since its announcement three weeks ago, Assassin's Creed III already surpassed the series' other titles in pre-orders during the same timeframe, and is on track to becoming Ubisoft's best selling game of all time.Ubisoft's senior vice president of sales and marketing, Tony Key, released the following statement in regards to ACIII's success thus far.
“On October 30th players will experience the biggest game launch in Ubisoft’s history with the highly anticipated release of Assassins Creed III. With a development cycle of three years, Assassins Creed III is the true next-generation experience of the Assassins Creed brand. The production value of the game, combined with the biggest marketing commitment we’ve ever made, will make Assassins Creed III the highest-selling Assassin’s Creed game ever.”

- A Redcoat multiplayer package, which includes a redcoat skin, a snake emblem, and a “doctor doll” relic (Gamestop exclusive).
- A single-player package including the “captain” assassin uniform and a handaxe used for boarding ships (Amazon).

Several North American retailers ... Amazon, GameStop, and Best Buy ... are offering a free limited edition steelbook case with all pre-orders.
