Saints Row: The Third's "Enter the Dominatrix" Cancelled

Enter the Dominatrix now merging with the next Saints Row title ...

THQ today confirmed that Saints Row: The Third's "Enter the Dominatrix" expansion is no longer in development. This standalone package was initially scheduled for release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC for $29.99. This content will now be incorporated into the next Saints Row game, set to launch next year.

THQ's president Jason Rubin offered the following statement ...

See you punks next year
"When I looked at the Enter The Dominatrix expansion in production at Volition, I was blown away by the ideas and desire to expand the fiction of the franchise. I asked the team what it could achieve given more time, more resources, and a broader scope for the project. We all agreed we wanted to play that game. When it comes to Saints Row, it's clear our fans want bigger, better, and even more over the top, and that's why Enter The Dominatrix will now be incorporated into a vastly expanded, full-fledged sequel, scheduled for calendar 2013."

He then added that the potential for the sequel is far greater as a full-priced, full-length, and "connected" experience. Enter The Dominatrix was expected to pick up immediately after the events of Saints Row: The Third, and feature Zinyak, an alien warlord with massive super powers.

No details were given about the next project in the Saints Row franchise, but as mention above, expect it next year. Stay tune for any updates.
