Battlefield Premium to compete with Call of Duty: Elite ...

Electronics Arts is taking notes from Activision's Call of Duty: Elite and will be launching their own premium service for Battlefield 3 on June 4, 2012. According to a reliable source from Battlefieldo, Battlefield Premium will grant players access to exclusive "content drops with unique in-game items not available anywhere else."

The first available content will be a "one-of-a-kind Premium knife and black dog tag, plus a set of soldier camos, weapons camos, dog tags, and Assignments." No subscription fee or pricing was mentioned, but you shouldn't expect it to be free.

In addition, Close Quarters, the upcoming Battlefield 3 expansion, will be available June 12th, with other bonus content coming throughout the rest of the year.
  • June 12th: Close Quarters
  • June 2012 : Strategy Guide
  • August 2012: Bonus Content
  • Fall 2012 : Armored Kill
  • Winter 2012 : End Game

EA nor DICE hasn't commented on this speculation, so stay tune for more official details.
