The PlayStation Vita will be released internationally this coming February and Sony has confirmed, via its EU PlayStation Blog, the prices of the games and memory cards.

First Modern Warfare 3 DLC Drops January 24 on Xbox 360

Modern Warfare 3 is about to get its first batch of DLC this January. According to Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling, "a full season of MW3 downloadable content kicks off for Elite subscribers January 24th on Xbox Live." These content will be exclusive to Xbox 360 for a period of time before releasing on the PS3 and PC.

These DLC will contain new and exciting things, according to Bowling ... including Spec Ops contents.
We learned from a tweet by Bowling that this DLC will include the following map ... Park (pictured above), Overwatch, Cement, Italy, and Monringwood (haha). Stay tune for more details as they become available.

321,000 PlayStation Vitas sold in two days

According to a Reuters report the number of PlayStation Vitas sold in the first two days on sale was 321,000. This previous Saturday the PS Vita was released in Japan. Its international debut is set for February 22nd. The PS Vita also comes in two different models, a ¥24,980 Wi-Fi only model and a ¥29,980 model that features both Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity options. In the US, the two versions will sell for $249 and $299; in Europe, they will cost €249 and €299; and in the UK, they will be £229.99 and £279.99. Alan Wake Set for PC Release

Remedy's rumor of Alan Wake coming to the PC is now more than just a gossip. The developer verified that Alan Wake will be released in early 2012 on the PC. It will be released right about when Alan Wake's American Nightmare is planned for Xbox Live Arcade. Also both DLC episodes, The Signal and The Writer, will be included in the PC version for Free!

Skyrim ships 10 million

A lot of us out there were really anticipating The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Earlier today ZeniMax Media, Bethesda's parent company, publicized that Skyrim has shipped 10 million units across the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC platforms. That amounts to nearly $650 million in retail sales. Skyrim logged initial shipment figures of 7 million units, 3.5 million of those units were sold within the first 48 hours.

Modern Warfare 3 tops $1 billion in 16 days

We all know that Call of Duty tops entertainment sales each year. Well it comes at no big surprise that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 reached $1 billion faster than any other entertainment property, with just 16 days on sale. Activision reported in the past that Modern Warfare 3 broke the single day launch record and the five day sales record for any entertainment product. Activision also said the Call of Duty community has swollen to 30 million gamers.

New Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Gameplay Modes Added

Modern Warfare 3's multiplayer is getting an expansive update that will add several new game modes and tweak some aspects of existing ones. According to Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling via Call of Duty Forum  ... starting Friday, December 16, MW3 will introduce community playlist, where they will add popular and unique match modes. Below are the changes that you'll notice.

Drop Zone:
Get to the drop zone to earn points, the first team to 7500 points wins the round, but thats not all. As long as the Drop Zone is occupied, a care package will drop every 15 seconds, which ever team has the most members in the drop zone at that point "owns" the care package, but anyone can steal it. This is the only way to earn air support in this mode, all other pointstreaks are disabled. You'll earn 20 points per team member, for every second they're in the drop zone plus 20 XP individually for your time spent in the zone. Kills are worth 50 XP in this mode.

Custom Settings: Pointstreaks (besides those obtained through in-game care packages) are disabled.

Hardcore HQ Ricochet:

We'll be adding Hardcore Headquarters to the Hardcore Team Tactical playlist.

Hardcore Ricochet:

We'll be converting all Hardcore modes to Ricochet variant as a response to team killing. This means, any friendly fire, is applied to the attacker, rather than the victim. So choose your shots wisely and any attempt to team kill will simply kill yourself.

Game of The Year 2011?

2011 was one of the biggest year for video gaming of all genres ...  we had shooters that broke sales records, action adventure titles that left us gasping for more, experiences that made us want to be super heros, fighting games that left us spineless, and a whole lot more. Battlefield 3 Back to Karkand Coming December 6

The first expansion for EA's Battlefield 3 will be available Tuesday, December 6th on the Playstation 3. All BF3 expansions will be a week early on the PS3, so Xbox 360 users should expect Back to Karkand December 13th. This DLC will be free for those who picked up the Limited Edition, for all others, it will cost $15 dollars.

Back to Karkand will bring 3 new vehicles (the VSTOL fighter jet, Desert Buggy, and an APC), ten new weapons useable in the base game, new trophies and achievements, and four new maps (Wake Island, Sharqi Peninsula, Gulf of Oman, and Strike at Karkand).

Here are the trophies to be earned in Back to Karkand ... achievements are not yet revealed.  

Complete Warrior (Silver)Get a kill with the following weapons in a single life: Rifle, Jet, Tank

Third Tour (Bronze)Get a kill with the new APC, Desert Buggy, and STOVL fighter jet

Gunslinger (Bronze)Get 10 kills with all B2K weapons

Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition
